Hand-held UV source for laboratory use
The UV-280 Pen shines ultraviolet light onto samples under a microscope to enable protein and salt to be distinguished.
The pen is designed for small batch production to suit a niche market. Using our knowledge of turn-mill machining we designed a cost effective outer casing and used 3D CAD to optimise the internal layout which includes rechargeable batteries and a circuit board.
